Dress Code
Servant Camp has dress guidelines for everyone’s benefit.
We have decided to simplify our dress code this year by having everyone wear crew neck t-shirts. We are asking that t-shirts are not modified with cut out necks or cropped bottoms. If you have any questions about our new guidelines please contact Pat Ficker at pafick123@gmail.com.
Shoes and socks must always be worn. Shoes need to be closed toe and a strap on the back if the shoes are sandals.
Please have sturdy shoes because of all of the walking around camp.
Shorts need to have at least a 4-inch inseam.
All undergarments must be covered.
No article of clothing should be torn, cut up or have any reference to drugs, sex, alcohol or guns.
Sunglasses and headwear cannot be worn in the dining hall.
Yoga pants or leggings must be worn with a long shirt, skirt or shorts over them.
‡ Swimsuits need to be modest. No bikinis or bikini-like one pieces.
Notes
We are asking that all campers—1st-11th grades—leave their phones, smart watches, iPods, and similar devices at home. Please provide a standard watch and/or camera for your camper to use as approved devices for keeping time or taking pictures.
* For clothing & gear, an under bed storage bin is recommended with a height of 15" or lower. Longer and more shallow (vs taller) bins are easier for campers to see their belongings. We recommend containers such as this Hefty 63 Qt storage bin or this Sterilite 58 Qt storage box.
† A fitted sheet is nice to have under the sleeping bag, and the flat sheet is useful for warmer nights when a sleeping bag may be uncomfortable.
$ Campers in grades 8-12 should bring some money to purchase items at the coffee house. We will not be doing a “for profit venture” so the cost will be minimal. We suggest no more than $15.
Servant Camp is a drug and tobacco free camp. Any use of these will result in dismissal.
Candy / gum will attract rodents and furry animals in undesirable quantities.
